Noble Installation AS (“Noble”) and its affiliated companies became part of Shift Energy Group (“SEG”) as of October 31, 2025. The founders of Noble will continue their active involvement in the business and have become shareholders in SEG. For several decades, Noble has developed unique expertise and technology used for the installation of power and fiber-optic cables on the seabed, as well as the maintenance and repair of exhaust systems for gas turbines in the oil and gas industry. The company has a more than 20-year history of profitable growth.
SEG was established in 2024 as an industrial group of companies providing products, services, and technology to the energy sector. SEG’s goal is to serve as a platform for further organic and inorganic growth through active and long-term ownership. The group’s strategy focuses on companies with roots in the Norwegian energy industry, where each business continues to operate independently with its own management, organization, and brand. The companies within the group seek opportunities for collaboration where it naturally strengthens their customer offerings. Noble is the third operating company to join SEG, following Haakon Larsen AS and Delta-p Pumpe og Kompressor Systemer AS.
Noble provides engineering, mechanical fabrication, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair, marine operations, vessel mobilization, as well as testing and certification services. Its core markets are specialized equipment for subsea cable installation, and the maintenance and repair of exhaust systems for gas turbines.
The transaction also includes Noble Eiendom AS, Toolpool AS, and a 55% ownership stake in LBH Nordic Compensators AS. Noble Eiendom AS owns the facilities used by Noble, consisting of approximately 1,750 m² of workshop space, 600 m² of office space, and a 21,000 m² plot at Rudskogen. Toolpool AS is a company specializing in the rental of custom-designed equipment, primarily for subsea cable installation and repair projects. LBH Nordic Compensators AS is a joint venture with LBH International A/S in Denmark, a manufacturer of various types of compensators for most onshore industries, as well as the oil and gas sector.
As part of the transaction, financing has been secured to expand the production facilities and machinery at Rudskogen, enabling further growth for Noble.
